2025 WA Sport Awards Finalists Revealed

Western Australia’s sporting community is set to shine brighter than ever as SportWest proudly announces the finalists for the 2025 WA Sport Awards. This year marks a historic milestone, with a record 265 nominations received across 13 categories, an incredible testament to the strength and diversity of sport in our State.

From grassroots heroes to elite athletes, these awards recognise the individuals, teams, and organisations whose dedication and achievements have shaped the sporting landscape over the past year. The WA Sport Awards are more than a celebration of success, they are a tribute to the passion, resilience, and commitment that sport inspires across Western Australia.

SportWest CEO Troy Kirkham said the Awards highlight the unique role sport plays in connecting communities and fostering pathways to greatness.

“The WA Sport Awards bring together every part of our sporting ecosystem, from high-performing athletes and coaches to the volunteers and clubs who form the backbone of community sport. It’s a night where we celebrate not just achievements, but the spirit of sport that unites us all.”

With finalists spanning categories such as Junior Sports Star, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Community Club of the Year, the 2025 WA Sport Awards promise to be a showcase of talent, dedication, and innovation. This year also marks the introduction of two exciting new categories, the Road Safety Commission Best on Road Award and the Camera House Leederville Sports Image of the Year, further highlighting the diverse ways sport impacts and inspires our community.

Finalists for the 2025 WA Sports Star Award will be announced in The West Australian throughout the week commencing 2 February 2026, ahead of the presentation of the Awards on 26 February 2026, while our May Campbell Medallists for their service to sport and Camera House Leederville Sports Image of the Year finalists will be confirmed in January.
