SportWest is thrilled to announce that nominations for the prestigious 2025 WA Sport Awards are officially open! This annual celebration offers a unique opportunity to honour the remarkable achievements of athletes, coaches, officials, and sporting organisations across Western Australia.
We encourage you to submit nominations for those who have made significant contributions to sports in Western Australia. Whether it’s an athlete who has dominated their discipline, a coach who has inspired excellence, or a club that has fostered community spirit, every nomination helps shine a light on the passion and dedication that drives WA sport.

SportWest is proud to expand the Awards program with two exciting new categories for 2025
- Road Safety Commission Best on Road Award
- Camera House Leederville Sports Image of the Year
SportWest Chief Executive Officer Troy Kirkham said the new categories reflect the evolving nature of sport and its broader impact on the community.
“These new awards recognise the diverse ways sport connects with our lives, from the road to the lens. The Road Safety Commission Best on Road Award recognises the power of sport to influence positive behaviour and promote safer roads across WA, while the Camera House Leederville Sport Image of the Year honours the power of photography to capture the emotion, energy, and spirit of sport,” said Mr Kirkham.
Winners will be announced at the WA Sport Awards, at Optus Stadium on Thursday 26 February 2026.
Nominations close on Monday 1 December 2025 at 5:00PM.
