2026 King’s Birthday Honours

Their dedication, leadership and commitment to building active, connected and inclusive communities is truly inspiring.

At SportWest, we celebrate the role sport and recreation plays in shaping healthier, stronger communities and we are proud to see so many Western Australians recognised on the national stage.

Officer of the Order of Australia (AO)

Honourable Benjamin Wyatt – For distinguished service to the people and Parliament of Western Australia, to the Indigenous community, to corporate governance, and to the not-for-profit sector.

Member of the Order of Australia (AM)

Ms Susan Jane Gaudion – For significant service to netball as a coach and administrator, and to the media.
Mr Ian Hannah – For significant service to golf administration, to surf life saving, and to community sports.
Mr Mark Irwin – For significant service to local government, to surf lifesaving, and to the community.
The Honourable Robert Kucera APM – For significant service to the community of Western Australia through a range of organisations.
The Honourable Michael Murray – For significant service to the people and Parliament of Western Australia.
The Honourable David Templeman – For significant service to the arts, and to the people and Parliament of Western Australia.
Ms Elizabeth Woods – For significant service to the law, to people with disability, and to basketball administration.
