The Badminton Development Officer is a role that plays a vital role in driving the growth and sustainability of junior participation across Western Australia. This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of key participation initiatives, including the Wings – Shuttle Smash program, Sporting Schools, and junior pathways.
The role ensures these projects are executed effectively, aligning with Badminton WA’s strategic goals to increase grassroots engagement and provide accessible, inclusive opportunities for young people to discover and thrive in badminton.
Working closely with internal portfolio leads and a broad range of external stakeholders, including schools, coaches, clubs, local governments, and recreation centres, the Development Officer fosters strong partnerships to enhance program reach and impact. This position supports the development and implementation of participation strategies, contributes to reporting and evaluation, and plays a key role in shaping the future of junior badminton across both metropolitan and regional areas of the state.
