Local Sporting Stars | Congratulations Indiah and Erin

We’re proud to announce Indiah Reidy and Erin Stocks as this fortnights recipients of the WA Local Sporting Stars Volunteer Recognition Program.

Indiah is an outstanding young leader in surf lifesaving, contributing at club, state and national levels. She serves on key youth committees and plays a leading role at Trigg Island Surf Life Saving Club as Patrol and Lifesaving Coordinator. From water safety and IRB crew duties to mentoring youth and supporting Nippers, Indiah’s commitment is tireless. A recipient of the SLSWA Youth of the Year and Long Tan Awards, she is a passionate advocate for youth development and community participation.

Erin has been the heartbeat of her club for 16 seasons, already earning Life Membership and serving on the committee for 15 years, including the past three as President. Alongside leading the club, she coaches multiple teams and supports development pathways at association level. Known for her deep connection with members and unwavering commitment to inclusion, Erin also led a successful initiative to deliver Indigenous training shirts to every player, strengthening culture and community across the club.

The WA Local Sporting Stars Volunteer Recognition Program celebrates a broad range of volunteer contributions, including youth leadership, long-standing service, inclusive participation, innovation and all-round support within sporting communities.

Nominations for future recipients remain open, with winners selected by a dedicated panel throughout the program. Community members are encouraged to nominate the volunteers who make a difference in their local clubs and help keep sport strong across Western Australia. Recognise your Volunteers here.
