Sports and AI – Peer-to-peer AI cases studies to driving positive change in sports

This is a follow-up to the Sports & AI and Sports & Digital Transformation masterclasses in March.

This session will provide attendees with practical case studies in the use of AI in a sports setting. ASTN and a number of WA sports organisations will share their experiences in successfully using AI-based tools and platforms to improve operational efficiencies, better engage members and fans, and provide better decision-making in sports performance.

The facilitated session will be focused on peer-to-peer learning in this emerging topic. So we request attendees share their experiences (successful or otherwise!) in selecting and implementing AI-based tools and platforms in their work settings for the collective benefit of up-skilling everyone involved in the session.

Dr Martin Schlegel Background:

Martin presented recent topics to SportWest on Sports and AI and Sports and Digital Transformation in March. Martin has 30+ years of experience as a global collaborator in the sports and recreation, technical textiles and advanced materials industry. His roles have expanded across IT, product development, process engineering and research and development commercialization. Martin has contributed to the work the Australian Sports Commission and CSIRO conducted on deployment of Artificial Intelligence in sport.
