The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) is the peak high-performance sporting organisation in Western Australia, proudly supported by the State Government and a member of the National Institute Network. As a Sports Dietitian, you will work closely with athletes across assigned sport programs, supporting performance outcomes through practical, evidence‑based nutrition strategies. Embedded within an interdisciplinary performance support model, you’ll contribute to holistic, athlete centred care in a high‑performance environment.
Your focus will be on helping athletes fuel effectively for training and competition, build understanding and confidence around nutrition and manage nutrition related health risks. You’ll collaborate with coaches and fellow performance support practitioners to align nutrition support with overall program goals, while ensuring athlete wellbeing remains central.
This role suits a practitioner who enjoys working in dynamic sporting environments, values collaboration and is confident balancing performance demands with care and responsibility.
