As 2025 draws to a close, SportWest is proud to reflect on a year of collaboration and impact—working alongside the WA Government to strengthen communities and advance priorities that matter most to our State.
Supporting Mental Health
Through Mental Health First Aid Training and our industry-leading EAP/VAP program, we’ve equipped the sport and recreation sector with tools to better support mental wellbeing, helping deliver on the State Government’s commitment to improving mental health outcomes.
Promoting Road Safety
Partnering with the Road Safety Commission, we delivered targeted messaging across the sports industry, reinforcing the Government’s priority of supporting Police and Emergency Services to keep our communities safe.
Building Industry Capability
The WA Sports Industry Conference brought together leaders and innovators to share knowledge and strengthen the sector, ensuring WA sport remains resilient and future-ready.
Driving Social Change
Through initiatives like the WA Sports Pledge during 16 Days in WA, we stood united against family and domestic violence, aligning with the Government’s vision for safer communities. Our True Sport program continued to champion integrity, inclusion, and respect—values that underpin vibrant, connected communities.
Celebrating People
From recognising volunteers at our National Volunteer Week Breakfast, to empowering future leaders through the Women of Sport Emerging Leaders Program, and honouring excellence at the WA Sport Awards, we’ve celebrated the people who make sport thrive.
Together, we’ve shown that sport is more than a game, it’s a powerful partner in delivering social, health, and community outcomes for Western Australia.
Here’s to continuing this important work in 2026.
