WA golf superstar Minjee Lee has broken through to claim the 2025 WA Sport Star award after a phenomenal year which saw her claim her third victory in a Major.
The Royal Fremantle Golf Club product claimed the coveted golden trophy in her 10th year of being a finalist, with her first nomination coming back in 2014.
Lee enjoyed a resurgent season in 2025, bouncing back from some lean years to beat the field and win the Women’s PGA Championship in June and climb to No.3 in the world rankings.
The event also saw skateboarder Mia Kretzer – the youngest-ever X Games gold medallist – named Junior Sport Star and the Perth Thundersticks women win Team of the Year after back-to-back Hockey One titles.
Lee’s coach Richie Smith was named the RSM Australia Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year and third time overall.
Tennis’ Rosario Corvaia was named ActiveXchange Official of the Year, Paddle WA’s Pause for Life won Hyundai Initiative of the Year, and Hayden Marchetto from WA All Abilites Football Association was CITS Sport Administrator of the Year.
