SportWest has partnered with Maxiblock ahead of the WA summer, with the Western Australian brand signing on as the Preferred Sunscreen Provider of SportWest for the next three years.
Since 1979, Maxiblock has proudly manufactured sunscreen in WA, founded on the principles of making high-quality products, keeping them affordable, and protecting families from the harsh Australian sun. More than 45 years later, those values remain at the core of the brand.
SportWest CEO Troy Kirkham said the partnership was a natural fit with the WA sporting community.
“The climate in WA lends itself to enjoying a wide range of outdoor sport – whether that’s being part of the action or supporting from the sidelines. To have a local WA company with such a strong history backing local communities to help keep people safe while enjoying the sport and recreation they love is important to us,” Mr Kirkham said.
Maxiblock Owner Thibaut Mortier said the value of sport in the WA community and their role in making sure West Australians can enjoy sport and active recreation safely remained at the core of their business.
“As a family-owned business, we’ve spent our lives at games in the WA community. We know they’re powered by volunteers and families out in the sun, and that means having protection you can count on. This partnership is about looking after our own to give sport participants the sun protection they need while they’re enjoying the sport they love”, said Mr Mortier.
Through SportWest’s community networks, the partnership will see Maxiblock sunscreen promoted to players, volunteers and supporters across the State, helping keep them protected while enjoying sport and active recreation that’s such an integral part of the WA way of life.
The agreement also sees SportWest Member organisations have the chance to generate alternate revenue through returns on sales generated into their local community.
