Are you passionate about motorsport and committed to upholding the integrity and safety of karting events? Karting WA is seeking a dedicated volunteer to take on the pivotal role of State Officials Training Officer.
About the Role
This position plays a vital part in ensuring consistency and professionalism in race officiating across Western Australia. You’ll lead the development and delivery of training programs that align with Karting Australia’s national standards and Training Frameworks (including the Officials Academy), helping Race Officials interpret and enforce rules fairly and uniformly.
Key Responsibilities
– Collaborate with Karting Australia and Karting WA to deliver high-quality training.
– Develop and implement training programs for State-level Race Officials, including Club Competition, in alignment with national standards, Training Frameworks and resources.
– Ensure alignment with KA’s Integrity Framework, safety policies, and officiating standards.
– Provide judicial training in natural justice and procedural fairness.
– Monitor performance, identify training needs and mentor officials for continuous improvement.
– Conduct assessments using KA’s Official Appraisal Forms for licence upgrades and renewals.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
– Experience in training, education, or adult learning.
– Strong knowledge of karting officiating and the KA Karting Manual.
– Completion of Karting Australia Officials Academy Programs.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proven ability to engage and educate adult learners.
– Personal qualities: integrity, empathy, creativity, teamwork, and community-building spirit.
