SportWest is thrilled to announce the resounding success of the recent Women of Sport Christmas Luncheon, presented by Hyundai, which raised an impressive $6,420 for Worthy Australia. This generous amount will fund not just one, but three Worthy Australia Safe Havens.

The Worthy Safe Haven Program plays a crucial role in transforming empty houses into homes for women and children escaping domestic violence. These beautifully furnished homes provide families with not just safety and comfort, but also the priceless gifts of hope, self-worth, and a brighter future.

Michelle Hort, SportWest’s Women of Sport Project Coordinator, reflected on the success of the event.

This year’s event was  a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we unite for a cause that matters. Together, we are helping to create a lasting, meaningful impact on the lives of women and children who need it most. “ Thank you to everyone who attended, it was truly humbling to witness such overwhelming generosity.” Michelle added.
