This award recognises an outstanding sporting festival, event or exhibition that has been delivered successfully within Western Australia. The event demonstrated inclusive practices and provided benefit to, or had a positive impact upon, an individual sport (coaches/athletes/participants/officials etc) and the local community.

• The Event must be delivered by a SportWest Member Organisation or an affiliated entity to the member.
• The Event must be sanctioned by a State/National or International Sporting Body.

• Exceptional event coordination and delivery.
• The impact to participation in the local community as a result of the event with analytical evidence.
• Demonstrated achievement to make the event environmentally or socially responsible.
• Positive partnerships created within the local community with examples.
• Lasting engagement and legacy within the sport and the local community.
• Positive connection to the local community.
• Innovative strategies implemented to enhance the experience for participants and community.
• Any other supporting documents or endorsements from stakeholders
• The nomination must be for an event that was delivered in the period 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025.

Who can lodge a nomination?

• Sporting clubs with the endorsement their State Sport Association who is a Member of SportWest.
• SportWest Member organisations.

To be eligible for nomination in the WA Sport Awards, nominees must be endorsed by a SportWest Member Organisation using the official endorsement form provided.
