SportWest, in conjunction with the Working with Children (WWC) Screening Unit and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, are offering a free tailored webinar for State Sporting Associations to provide information on the upcoming amendments to the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004. The amendments are anticipated to commence on 1 July 2023.
Developed by the WWC Screening Unit, the webinar will cover:
- The current WWC Check
- What is changing on 1 July 2023
- Obligations for individuals and organisations
- Example scenarios for sporting organisations
- New resources to assist sporting organisations
There will be a Q&A session with the presenter during the webinar, and you can also list any questions you currently have when you register to attend the webinar.
