Equestrian Western Australia (EWA) is the state sporting organisation for horse sports in Western Australia. Administered by an engaged and high calibre Board of Directors, a dedicated team of employees and voluntary committees, it represents the sports of Dressage, Eventing, Jumping, Show Horse, Carriage Driving, Para-Equestrian and Vaulting as well as having management responsibility for the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, which is currently undergoing extensive upgrades.
EWA has 2,700 members along with 93 affiliated clubs. It is one of seven state branches, which make up the membership of Equestrian Australia.
The Position:
Reporting to an experienced and supportive Board, through the Chairperson, you will be responsible for managing EWA’s strategic goals with a focus on the growth and sustainability of equine sports in the state. Your key duties will include:
- Leadership of a small, close-knit team.
- Stakeholder engagement with organisation and individual members, all levels of government, the media, commercial partners and the public.
- Close collaboration with the equestrian community of WA.
- The growth and development of existing and new funding sources.
- Lead a significant capital works and change program.
- Operational and strategic leadership of EWA.
- Membership management and growth. &
- Oversee and develop EWA’s events portfolio.
