Nominations for Western Australia’s premier sports awards, are now open!
The WA Sport Awards are Western Australia’s premier sports awards and enable the community to recognise excellence in sport and celebrate the achievements across all levels of the WA Sports Industry.
The most iconic sporting award that a West Australian athlete can win is the WA Sport Star Award. It’s a prestigious list of West Australia’s outstanding sportspeople who have won this award since it was first presented to hockey player Morna Pearce in 1956. WA sporting greats including Dennis Lillee, Ric Charlesworth, Luc Longley, Justin Langer, Samantha Kerr and Nathan Fyfe are all prominent among the past winners, while cyclist Jai Hindley became a two-time WA Sports Star after his Giro d’Italia win in 2022.
