SportWest are pleased to announce our Summer rebel Sport Community Champions – Amanda Marriot (Basketball), and Thomas Clarke (Volleyball).

Our two recipients showed an outstanding commitment and passion towards their sport, continuing to inspiring others and fostering a love for sports. Thank you for your invaluable contributions. You are true champions!

Meet Amanda
Amanda has been amazing establishing the very first social community based adult basketball competition in the Perth Hills in Mundaring. Amanda liaised with local community members and the Shire to get the competition up and running. Amanda goes above and beyond, she attends the games and washes the bibs every week, she books the courts and organises the referees.

Meet Thomas
Tom has been a vital part of the Alcohol. Think Again Beach Tour (ATABT), contributing significantly to its success without ever seeking recognition or reward. From late October through March, Tom dedicated countless hours as a photographer for the ATABT. His stunning images captured the essence of each event, bringing the excitement and energy of beach volleyball to life for athletes and fans alike. Tom’s photographs, which have been widely shared online, have become integral to capturing the essence of the ATABT experience. What truly sets Tom apart is his dedication to ensuring that every athlete has access to their photos. Not only did he attend each round to capture moments frozen in time, but he also painstakingly curated and edited the images before personally sending them to individual athletes.
